Safeguarding Statement

Castle View Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This means that we have a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy in place. Parents and carers are able to view the policy online hereor can request a paper copy from the school office.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the child’s parents or carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Operation Encompass

There are currently no procedures for reporting Domestic Abuse incidents to schools which means that our children are left without the support and nurture that they need when they need it the most. Operation Encompass has been created to address this so that by 9.00am on the next school day the school’s Key Adult will be informed that the child or young person has been involved, heard or witnessed a domestic incident. This knowledge, given to schools through Operation Encompass, allows the provision of immediate early intervention through silent or overt support dependent upon the needs and wishes of the child.

For more information, please visit Operation Encompass website.

At Castle View Primary Academy, the Key Adult is Mrs. Catherine Simmonds. Left June 24
