The class teacher is Mrs Ceri Hamer.
Homework

In Year 5 this half term children will receive spellings each week. Children are expected to read at least three times a week and to bring their reading book to school each day. Any children reading seven times a week will receive recognition in Friday's celebration assembly and in the newsletter.
P.E

Please ensure children have PE kits in school and any earrings are removed or plasters need to be provided for the children to cover them with. Our PE days are Mondays and Wednesdays.
Uniform
All children should wear full uniform.
We do allow pupils to wear all black trainers - no coloured swooshes/stripes etc. with all black soles.
Black shoes are also still acceptable and preferred for school.

Our Learning Journey
Week 1
We made a great start to the new school year with lots of fabulous behaviour. Our favourite part of the week was beginning our art topic linked to the work of William Morris.

Week 2
This week we went to Leighton Hall for 'An Orchard's Tale'. We picked apples and made apple juice. Then we played outdoor games, made some prints and bumble bees and embedded our learning of the life cycle of plants.

Week 3
This week we had a visit from Michael Rosen - the world famous author and poet. We had also made up our own poem with Louise Fazackerly all about Animal Cruelty. We love poetry.
Week 4
This week we have been improving our hockey skills and improving our control of the ball.

Week 5
We had the best day ever today !
