Welcome To Castle View Primary Academy
A very warm welcome to Castle View Primary Academy.
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I am delighted to introduce you to our wonderful school. We are a small community academy situated on the Ridge estate, blessed with stunning views over Lancaster and Morecambe Bay. Our school is a happy, caring place at the heart of the community we serve, and our children are at the centre of everything we do.
At Castle View, everything we do is underpinned by our three core values: Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. It is our collective mission to embody these values daily, preparing our pupils for the next step in their journey and ensuring they grow into the respectful, responsible, and resilient citizens of tomorrow.
We work hard to provide the best education we can for our pupils and we are continuously driving for improvement. We take the ‘whole child’ into account, believing that for children to truly flourish, their education must extend beyond academic success. Our hard-working and dedicated staff work closely with parents to develop positive relationships, creating an environment where children can leave not only with excellent subject knowledge, but as caring, tolerant and enthusiastic learners with a life-long love of learning.
To achieve this, we have designed a curriculum which is stimulating and relevant for our children, with opportunities for them to shine in a number of different areas. We are also very fortunate to have extensive outdoor space, including a large football field and dedicated play and adventure areas for all ages.
We hope this website gives you a glimpse into life at our school. However, the best way to experience our nurturing environment is to see it for yourself. We look forward to you visiting our school so that you can see it all in practice. Please feel free to contact our friendly school office staff if you have any questions.
With best wishes,
Mr Huw Rose
Acting Headteacher

School football team success
I am delighted to report another phenomenal achievement for the Castle View football team, who are truly going from strength to strength! Following the success of reaching the semi-finals at the highly competitive Lancaster and Morecambe College tournament just three weeks ago, our talented pupils went on to secure a magnificent Runners-Up spot at the recent local Lancaster tournament. The dedication and teamwork on display were exemplary, and these superb performances provide fantastic preparation as the team looks forward to representing the Academy at the prestigious County Finals in Fleetwood in January. What an outstanding run of success!
Michael Rosen visits Castle View
It was an incredible privilege for the children of Castle View Primary Academy to welcome the world-famous author and poet, Michael Rosen, to our school! Best known for his classic picture book, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Mr Rosen spent time with our pupils, sharing his passion for language, performance, and the sheer joy of reading. This was truly an amazing opportunity for our children to meet one of the most beloved figures in children's literature, hear his unique, humorous poetry firsthand, and be inspired to find their own voices as readers and writers.
